The Ball Drop

My rescue dog, Olive, was a ball dog. She would never quit playing until I refused to throw the ball any longer. I was tired out long before she was. Then she’d jump up into her favorite chair and keep gnawing on it until it would fall out of her mouth onto the floor. She’d do everything in her power to stay in the chair while still trying to reach her ball. I had many hours of laughter over the years watching her try to work through a problem that always required her to jump down unless I got up to hand it to her. She was the inspiration for this fun and colorful painting.
